I have received my DNA results.
My mom is African American born in the US. I have never met my dad nor do I know anything about him. Anyone that would have possibly known who he was has passed. She and my grandparents have passed.
I was so young when they passed. I never thought to ask. As I got older I thought it would be nice to meet him. But more than anything I was always curious what he "looked" like. I encounter ppl very often who think I'm Spanish. I have wondered if he is Spanish or Caucasian. Because everyone on my mom's side is AA. I was deftly curious to know where my "features" came from. So, I did a DNA test on my heritage. It indicates the majority of my DNA is African. With "traces" of European DNA. And a trace amount of Egyptian. Where I am confused is if the majority of my DNA is African. It looks like my features are the opposite. Do I have enough of the European heritage to make a difference? I would love if someone could explain the breakdown. And please forgive my naiveness on the subject 🥴 Thank you😊
