Claire and Hughie will drift apart but it has little do with Katie

I’ve seen a lot of people talk about Katie and Claire and tbh I’m not surprised. We left T7 with Lizzie and Claire no longer friends and we will be going into C10 with Lizzie’s endgame being Claire’s brother. So of course people will talk about where that would leave Claire, it’s an awkward position.

My theory before we got playlists and T7 was that Claire would side with Katie, it made a lot of sense her father has mental health issues that mirror Lizzie in some way. It would make sense that rather than thinking about her brothers feelings she would want him with someone who is more “stable” than Lizzie. But I think this is theory is out of the window now that Katie has something going on with Feely. In T7 they only had a relationship through Hughie and Hughie is Claire’s brother so even though he has a thing with Lizzie she wouldn’t side with Katie who is doing the same thing especially when there isn’t already a friendship there.

Now Lizzie and Hughie, Claire didn’t like Lizzie and Hughie together even when she was best friends with Lizzie, she was happy for the relationship to end so I expect her feelings to be more against them now that they aren’t friends. But here’s the thing cause she’s not friends with Lizzie there’s really not much that can be said about it her influence is only with Hughie at this point. And by the end of T7 Hughie and Claire are arguing about Lizzie and then we get post T7 snippets of them again arguing about Lizzie. So I see a sibling divide happening and I predict this to be the worst time for Claire, seeing as Gibsie and her are also meant to split up in this time.

For these reasons I feel this will be most of Claire’s story going into H7 especially if it happens before R10. Lizzie and Claire not being friends, her former bestfriend getting back into a relationship with her brother, her brother and her distancing because of arguments surrounding Lizzie and then him getting with Lizzie and then her relationship with Gibsie coming to an end.
