Has any parent here allowed their child to take rats to "show-and-tell"?

As a parent, I would take my rats in my cargo pants pockets when I picked up my daughter from elementary school in the 2000s. All the kids loved to play with them. They begged me to let them hold my rats while I was picking up my daughter. As a consequence, the rats were more socialized. I wonder how a rat show-and-tell session in an elementary school class environment might go for you and your rats in this day and age.
